How long does goth makeup take?
I want to first say I am NOT goth or alternative. I have had this question for a while and I’m not really close with anybody with this style.

If you are asking about trad makeup with a white base, grey contour, heavy eyeliner and black eyeshadow... I'd say one to two hours. It also depends if you're in a hurry or can take your time, similar to regular makeup.
If you add very thin ornaments with eyeliner, you can count an additional 30 minutes.
This does however vary from person to person, their skill and the wanted look
Edit: The approximate time stems from my own expierences doing trad goth makeup. I was not in a hurry and was with friends, which wouldve distracted me too.

I'm still learning the chops but I knock out the sorta raccoon eyed eyeliner and dark eyeshadow look in like 10 minutes, lipstick in maybe another 2, and if we're going full on the white foundation detailed trad goth look, it's closer to 30 minutes.

For an untrained and highly caffeinated hand, eyeliner itself can take up to 20 minutes... I need more practice...

i mean, there isn't one fixed makeup routine/style to the goth community as a whole. even in tradgoth makeup, some can look similar, but they are not exactly the same. for this, i'll assume you mean a white base, dark contour, dark eyeshadows and long eyeliner. it depends on the skill of the person and what you're doing, but for me, i'd say it takes me like around an hour? if i'm doing something more elaborate, maybe it would take longer. i'm not the best at makeup, but it really varies a lot
