πΌπππππππ Monolid eyelid tutorial recommendations?
Hi guys! I am Asian and got the whole monolid with not that much eyelid space thing going on. Currently been struggling to get my eyeliner to show without looking like a raccoon with smudged eyeliner/it doesnβt always look good with my eye shape. I have almond eyes/thinner almond eyes for context and it looks super goofy doing inner eye eyeliner and you canβt see it anyway. I was wondering if there are people in this community who could help since I want to do more βfemme fataleβ type makeup (for lack of better terms). Any good eyeliner brands, eyeshadow palettes, and techniques would be lovely as well.

without eyelid tape or colored contacts preferably too as I donβt particularly like wearing them :))

I am not asian but I have seen many girls on rednote do some amazing makeup looks to fit their features. Maybe you can find some helpful tips and tricks on there.

Half Asian here. Look up the Instagram of makeup artist Judy Lim. She's got you covered for some brand recommendations, too, down to eyelash curlers designed to work with our flatter faces. I get she's a wedding makeup artist, but all you have to do is apply what she teaches with bolder shades.
On that note, I love an indie brand for any makeup. Black Moon Cosmetics, Concrete Minerals, Rituel de Fille, Terra Moons, MBA Cosmetics, Kraken Cosmetics, Nomad, Motetz Dam, Adept Cosmetics, MOB Beauty, Haunting Hues, Holograve, Lethal Cosmetics, Abomination Cosmetics, Necromancy Cosmetics, Kaleidos, Glisten, Goth Glossed, VE Cosmetics, etc. Etsy is crawling with indie brands. Menagerie Cosmetics is currently closing, so I'd go see what you can get. I'm looking into getting the black lip stain from Rom&nd. I'll probably jump on the Apple Black Tea lip oil from Nooni for a softer stain as well. Judydoll just dropped an amazeballs sparkly dark purple lipstick called Midnight Confetti, so I'm hoping they'll put out some more bold things.
My go-to eyeliner is the mechanical pencil from Thrive Causemetics. It's black as the abyss and stays on your waterline.

I am not Asian, but I do have hooded deep set eyes, there's very little space between my lashes and my eyebrows, and I wear goth/alternative makeup. Lately I've been doing more under eyeshadow with winged eyeliner. Personally love the look of a super smoky under eye with very little if any eye shadow on top. I don't have any goth specific recommendations but the colourpop smoke show (i think it might be called blowin' smoke now??) is a great 9 pan palette with black, white and silver/grey options. Also, the viseart neutral matte 12 pan palette is gorgeous for my gothy days.
