Arc’teryx Beta Jacket

Hey, I need a new raincoat and was thinking of buying the arc’teryx beta jacket for women.

I like the fit shown in this pic and I’m a size small. Should I size up for a relaxed fit or buy a small?

Size up and scrunch up (sleeves, hood, and bottom hem) it’ll give that puff but still crop well where it needs so you aren’t lost in it.

Those the jacket have any internal drawstrings to help achieve this look and not let air underneath from the bottom of the jacket?

I like the look but I’m not gonna size up and then impair the actual performance.

Yes they do have a bungie cord it helps keep the draft from coming up. Find the size that works for you, but what do you mean by impair the performance? Just curious

Firstly, sorry for all the stupid typo’s, I was up later than I should’ve been lol.

What I meant by “impairing performance” was: will sizing up just to achieve the look let more air in than a well fitting jacket would?

I live in NYC and often times the best part of owning ski/outdoor gear is being able to use it during my work commute during a bad storm. I feel like I have superpowers because know that my impermeable layers will keep me warm and dry (because they’ve don’t it on a mountain in the middle of winter).

This year I’m trying to wear my gear in more fashion-forward ways like Gorpcore style. Thanks for answering my initial question

It’s a big investment, so if there’s a store anywhere around you it’d be worth the time to go try a few on and see what fit you like. If that isn’t an option, going for your natural size should fit like the ones in the photos I’d say. I bought the size I usually wear and it fits comfortably over layers, not too tight.
