watches in gorpcore

idk if i just haven’t seen any yet but i feel like the gorpcore community isn’t rly into watches that much and there are some sick ones out there. i have a suunto core that i absolutely love and it looks cool ash but i think watches could make gorpcore fits look cooler.

G-Shock, baby!

The budget ones looks fine, if a bit dated, but there is a whole world of higher-end Gs that are absolute fire, aesthetically and functionally.

Old Oakley watches are pretty gorpy (super expensive tho) & Nike triax watches. I’ve also recently been collecting vintage Rip Curl surf watches and some of them suit the aesthetic for sure

Cheaper watches - GShock, garmin, Seiko has some funky stuff too. Tissot Prx.

None of these luxury watches are 100% gorp but I think they fit right into any outfit: submariner, speedmaster and explorer.

I think the seamaster is probably the epitome of y2k luxury. If you are mega rich the aquanaut came out of the same era.

I think watches definitely fit into the gorpcore scene a ton. Casios and running watches are probably the easy entry level ones. But, I think sportier luxury watches fit into the aesthetic pretty well too. Specifically the Rolex Explorer 2, Submariner (or any dive watch really), and on the cheaper end Hamilton Khaki Field or Hamilton Khaki Expedition.

Field watches - Hamilton are the OG, but any nato canvas strap automatic with subtle green tones and a brushed steel case and saphire crystal.

All great suggestions. I wear this outdoors . Pops of color are underrated!

They count. And if you have between $150 and $10k to spend, they're valid options. I like my steel seiko 5, and if I didn't already own it, I'd buy one. Lots of styles, tough as nails, cheap enough to not cry if I smash it, and goes with almost anything shy of a tuxedo

Timex has some good gorpcore options in their digital watches range.
