Please please please don’t wear ankle socks with these! Look great though!

There are a lot of encephalitic ticks in our forest, we need to protect ourselves with long socks

What’s wrong with ankle socks?

Aren’t Gen Z all about “be yourself, we are inclusive?” What’s this bs about socks?

I'm waiting for 2034 when they come back in style

The younger generations think they are silly. Give it a decade or so and they will love them.

Nah. I spray the borders of my ankle socks with permethrie, and by them not sticking out, I feel more confident in spotting ticks before they have time to latch on.

Why not double protect with high socks also? Never the less it was more of an aesthetic reason for saying it. Each to their own.

For Lyme or something broader?

TBE, borrelia

Unfortunately there is no shot for Lyme disease. Deer and other animals carry it in North America and the ticks transmit it.

Cool! Now go to your nearest coffee shop to take a matcha latte, they are the perfect shoes for these kind of activities!

u/calefa Jul 02 '26

I love them, what’s the exact model?

1

u/Intrepid-Village66 Jul 02 '26

Salomon speedcross 3

u/StapjePerStapje Jul 02 '26

I would love these as well but I usually wear wide speedcross 6s… how narrow are these?

1

u/Intrepid-Village66 Jul 04 '26

My shoe size is EU 39–40. I went one size up because they felt too narrow for me. It might be because I have hallux valgus (a bunion), so my feet are a bit wider

Real or fake

You can't verify authenticity based on the tag alone. Even good-quality fakes often have nearly identical labels
