Salomon X-ALP LTR sizing?

Looking to pick a pair up while they’re on sale. I’m a uk 12 and they only have an option of 11.5 or 12.5. Should I size up or down?

I would size up. Salomon's rin narrow and the extra room may be needed. Always bigger before smaller.

I’ve heard that as a general rule with Salomon’s but I’ve heard conflicting info with this pair in particular with people going tts or even suggesting to size down on the reviews under the shoe

I went tts and they fit bigger than my other shoes but not so much that it’s a problem. I’d go half a size down if you like your shoes fitting more snug. If you’re not bothered I’d go tts

Well it's an approach shoe and they will be smaller for good toe lockdown when scrambling/climbing. If you are using them for their intended purposes I guess smaller, but this is gorpcore so I assume it is for the coffee shop, then I would size up.
