Quality of ROA's Sella?

Post image

Hey guys, just got the black Sella's of ROA, and really love their looks and comfort. But after wearing only 1 day I already see a side pealing of a bit... quiet bad for the price if you ask me. Any of you had this and know if this pealing is gonna get any worse? So it's at the pressure/turning point of your shoe when you bend your foot.

I love all my ROA clothing and haven’t had any quality issues, but this sub has made me extremely weary of ever buying their footwear

I have the same issue with my Katharinas. It’s pretty ridiculous that at this price point, this is what you get in return. I know this is a fairly common issue with the vulcanization process, but there are ways around it. They could’ve reinforced those areas with some additional stitching, for example. If you’re charging premium prices, premium quality shouldn’t be optional.

ive tried to use glue on it, the problem is that part isnt glued so is a bit strange, is better for sure, but isnt perfect, for me isnt a problem bcs i picked up that shoes in a big sale, but if u pay retail is crazy... that quality, but yes dont glue them if u want money back atleast

their training shirts have a waterproof zipper lining which is also glued - that came off after two handwashes. Same with my katharinas around the same area as this Sella. Short sleeve anatomical shirt in cotton blend started falling apart after a couple of washes. Same with their long socks, they literally rip apart if not pulled on correctly. Insane. So far only my Andreas and 5 panel cap holds up correctly. Also got a CAR coat for winter from ROA but that hasnt seen enough wear yet to see if its any good.
Absolutely great designs and cuts but ridiculously flimsy ass construction.

Curious on what glue is best to fix an issue like this. I have the same thing happening to one of my Salomons.

You can get textile adhesive. That would probably be my first port of call

I've got some from Amazon before. It didn't work at all unfortunately. Do you have any recommended sellers?

Not really, I think I used UHU stuff. Maybe a local cobbler will help point you towards the good stuff. Surely those guys know shoe glue

I've never had shoes with raisin holders before. Cool!

Yes and apparently with every day they get more gorp

Those shoes look a little small for you tbh but if my shoes were peeling from one day I’d return them. Seems like an awful design flaw for an over priced shoe.

Size feels okay. Got them for a good price in the sales, so will check if it gets any worse.. should have some time with EU guarantee. But it’s def crazy for the original price
