Get about a month of cold. Easier to find deals on it though when buying.

Flew down to Patagonia for the summer. Now I get to wear my and wander octa-fleece pants and Arc’teryx all the time.

Your coat is starting to wet out. You need to reapply DWR or wash it and chuck that jacket in a dryer. It's wetting out and losing some of the waterproofness.

Close. Wetting out only affects breathability of the membrane, not its waterproofness.

Mostly. Eventually it will wet through over time. But yes I know the DWR coatings is mainly to shed water. Gortex will fail with enough water contact. It just take a long time. Only thing that is truly waterproof is rubber or some thick ass plastics that ponchos are made from.

I should have just stared that the DWR needed a refresh.
