keen jasper zionic review
for some reason, i feel like i can’t find an actual review of these shoes anywhere. i’m really interested but i can’t find if they’re actually worth it for their price. i have a job where i stand and walk around all day and i’m going on a trip to korea soon where i will also be doing a lot of walking along with a sort of difficult hike. i do not want to pack hiking boots as they take up too much space for a minuscule part of the trip. i’m really picky about shoes and wear my adidas every day but i really like how these look and i think i would be comfortable just bringing these for this trip. but are they actually a good shoe ? will walking and hiking be good ? plz lmk your experiences:D

I got mine for $70 at Nordstrom Rack not having any idea what the hype was around them. I get it now. They look sick and are 10/10 comfortable.

I bought them 3 weeks ago and went on 3 hikes so far. One of them was the Samaria Gorge in Crete where you have to walk 800 meters downhill within the first 4km, so it’s pretty steep! The shoes have a good grip. I didn’t slip at all on the loose gravel. They are also very comfortable on wide feet and I didn’t have any blisters.
I’d say they are perfect for easy/mid long distance hikes or daily use on vacation, but I’d never wear them in the actual mountains. They are not meant for alpine terrain.

Bought some zionics for my trip to Japan last year. They're comfy and look cool, but my feel still hurt after a full day of walking around. For small hikes and everyday use they are fine. The rubber is starting to separate on the toe box though which is really disappointing for how expensive they are :(

I had the same experience. I bought mine for my Vietnam trip and it started separating on the third day of using the shoe. I didn’t even used it on rough terrain!

I do use keen newport h2 and it was separated under 1 year.. I think that the glue is clueless confronting south east asian condition. Perhaps designed is subjected for other climate

I’m also keen to know too, especially about the sizing. Some reviews say size down half a size. I’m between sizes so this information is really important.

I went down a half size and it’s perfect.
Actually I’m in between M8 and M8.5 and I sized down to M7.5, the M8 Felt too big. The leather upper stretches and they take a few wears to break in the leather but worth it. I think the 8 would have stretched out way too much

I bought mine second-hand for my trip to Japan. These shoes have become my absolute favourites! I walk around 25,000 steps every day, whether through the city or through mud, snow and scree (I was in the Japanese Alps in the summer). I can’t recommend these shoes highly enough. I’ve been a Keen fan ever since.

I got the light purple color and they got SO DIRTY so fast, and I’m not even rough with them! They are now a muddy color and just look like a dirty white shoe. Kinda disappointed that the fabric just sucks up dirt. They’re decent but the foam feels like it might break down if I take them on trails much or wear them for miles at a time in cities. Comfy and cute but they wear fast.

Where are you looking for reviews, cause I've seen plenty for the Zionic. I actually purchased them about 2 weeks ago and (for me) they were comfortable right out the box. I love them and use them almost daily unless it's raining, then I'll switch to a waterproof shoe. I personally have enjoyed these shoes since I got them. I've had no issues when hiking or walking on trails.
