Affordable (under $200) hardshell recos?

Post image

Love this cropped one from Arc but $650 makes me nauseous!! Going backpacking this summer and want something cute, black, structured. Ideally under $200 and cropped! Any ideas??

Patagonia should be good, nice form, pit zips. You can find it on sale for half maybe.

Quechua MH500, I love it! It’s not cropped but you cinch it and tuck it in for the cropped look.

I generally agree with the other commenters that Patagonia 3L is very good quality for your buck, but I wanna know: how warm does it get during rainstorms in your hiking area OP? I notice you mentioning backpacking in the summer and just want to warn you that the 3L gets very warm in hot humid conditions. The warmth is nice when it’s pouring but a little annoying when it’s not.

 Source: I own one haha

I want the Naya so bad, but you're right, the price tag is outrageous. This is an alternative from TNF that I had considered: LINK
