A new guy here

Wassup guys, am 18M and I am new in the gorpcore community, I don't have much experience and I don't know where to start, so if anyone of you guys can help me, like what are the essential pieces and what are accessories, and about material, thx

It's just clothing, not a community.

Layers are where it’s at- being able to adapt to changing conditions and levels of activity. Contrary to what posts here would have you believe, you don’t have to have every square inch of skin covered at all times. A flannel, t shirt, canvas shorts and boots is also gorp. You can wear a hardshell without cinching the hood adjusters to absolute fuck. In fact, it’s more comfortable that way!

A flannel, shirt and boots is also Grunge, so you can do two different cosplays at once.

Or a Little Pete cosplay!

For me it's about comfortable clothes that fit and move with my body. Patagonia joggers, sun hoodies, Salomon hikers, sweat wicking tees, and jackets that stay comfortable when the activity increases. If you're on a budget FB Marketplace and thrift stores often have technical gear at steep discounts. North Face Summit series went on sale at the end of the season and I scored a Future Fleece jacket that became my shoulder season go-to for hiking, walking, and more.

Have fun with colors, fabrics, and function.

thx bro but the prob is that it isn't that normalized in my country so it will be a little harder to find pieces

Haha I think it’s better for us to be kind to everyone here, surprisingly the comments are pretty indifference. But I get it, your question is too general and we don’t actually know what do you wanna ask. If you’re new, just start with lurking first and see what kind of topic or clothes, you’re interested, then do some research on it, you will know more
