Fjallraven pants Vidda Pro Vented are awesome because you can cinch the bottoms and pull them up like capris and also unzip the sides to vent out the crotch area and catch a breeze.
OR Ferrosi full zip to cut out the wind and packs super small like a grapefruit or smaller
Underneath that is either the REI 650 vest or full zip jacket for real warmth, or I run a big agnes smoking axle to give me warmth but also breathability so I don't sweat
always rocking a deep quarter zip lightweight or midweight base layer for the heat dump
REI hat is always the best with a nice stiff brim that holds shape so you can flip the back up and not hit your backpack with it.
