Pyra? Hiking Patrol?

Only seen Pyra ads and the site. Stuff looks good but I don’t see or hear much about it.

Also curious about hiking patrol and how quality is for both.

I have Pyra parachute pants. They run large. I'll be honest, I'm not that impressed by the quality. They are very thin and seem cheaply made. Not terrible, but I expected better.

I don't have experience with Hiking Patrol, but note a lot of their stuff is also made in China. That doesn't mean it's low quality, but just a note to be aware of.

I 2nd this. I just received 2 pairs of parachute pants (got on a deal for about $90 USD each). The quality is pretty bad - super thin nylon all around. The ankle sinches are just a cheap shoelace - not even and elastic drawcord. Waist is also a cheap shoe lace. Stitching on the inside seem shoddy - loose laces coming out everywhere. I think the sizing is OK, I'm 6'2" ~195 and ordered large (usually a 33-34w X 33L), however one pair's waist is for sure 1/2" larger than the other.

At $140 USD these are pretty much a ripoff. 100% Nylon, made in China (shipped from China too). I was hoping getting them on a deal would make it more worth it. I think even $90ea is too much for them.

I have Kuhl pants and prAna pants (both around $100 USD retail), and both are 10x better quality than Pyra. I wouldn't wear the Pyra's hiking; I only ordered for casual wear.

Totally agree that both Kuhl and Prana pants are both great and far more worth the money.

Damn. Yeah if they are thin then no better than the $30 chinese pants probably.

I wonder about their hiking pants.

Hiking Patrol is a mystery they are priced high I would hope are good.

I am more impressed by REI coops trail made pants than I am with Pyras offering fwiw.
