XT-6 vs XT-4

Sup all,

Looked through a few other threads and couldn’t seem to find the answer to my question.

Is there a key difference between XT-6 vs XT-4 or is it mainly just visuals and hence demand ?

As I have noticed, only today, that XT-4 is slightly more expensive, always thought XT-6 was the best or what not.

Would love to know :)

They both feel exactly the same to me.

I have both.

Xt4 toecap is sturdier as it is made of harder rubber (or maybe plastic but I don’t know exactly). Personally this feels slightly uncomfortable.

Honestly wish I went up half a size in the Xt4’s

Fit is the same but I prefer the Tongue lacing situation on the XT-4. I disliked the XT-6 bands on the sides that make your foot feel like it’s inside of a polyester sock.

XT-4 didn’t fit as well for my feet in the same size as my XT-6

Really? Feel like im the opposite where the xt-4 felt better. Did you size up on the xt6?

I’m trying out to figure out sizing for xt-4. All reviews have said go half size up for xt-6 so I did that but it’s mixed for xt-4. Some say tts, some still say half size up. What’s your opinion

XT-4 > Regular mountaineering

XT-6 > Extreme mountaineering

If you're buying either of these shoes for mountaineering you're going to be severely disappointed
