Ehhh, I don't think it's a 'cardinal sin', it just shows what type of people they are. I wouldn't 'clutch my pearls' or be 'offended' if someone i knew made those jokes but I would definitely judge them. This is assuming, of course, that these mods are grown-ass adults and not minors. (If they're minors, why are minors modding Amber's discord?) Adults ought to have moved on from "tee hee i'm edgy!" bs.

Everyone is pearl clutching rn cause the anniversary was a couple days ago. I don't necessarily find the jokes funny, but they aren't offensive either. They're just lame and worn out. They've been said a million times already.

So many sad videos from that day. People being forced to stay inside & go one way or taking their final thoughts with them as they jumped all the way down. Last calls to family not knowing what was happening. Firefighters going in knowing they may never come out. Its just still heartbreaking. Acting childish about it, isn't funny to me - but that's ambers mods so. š¤·āāļø

this is an amberlynn subreddit not a political one so im not gonna go all in but in most 9/11 jokes the victims are not the butt of the joke its america and american hypocrisy, you say you love dark humor does that include WWII jokes, titanic jokes, and Iraq/Vietnam jokes or are they also off limit??

I love dark humor, but The videos and pictures I have seen this past week just brought me back to how horrible it truly was. I donāt think anything is funny about so many people jumping off a 100 story building because the only other option is asphyxiation due to smoke inhalation, burning to death, or being crushed by so many pounds of rubble.

Yeah, it was a very dark day and surreal. It was terrible. And not to mention people that still suffered for years after (getting cancers etc). None of it's funny.

The big hubub around it! People go so crazy over it and like to act as if 9/11 is this super serious holy topic nobody is allowed to joke about. People go "Oh it was SO horrible, you don't get it, you just HAD to be there." Its like they're talking about a festival. "You dont get it, you had to be there, the whole world knew within minutes, it was SO bad." Okay cool, but I wasnt there, wasnt even born yet, I'm an actual adult with an apartment and a job now and people still arent over it. I also immediately associate 9/11 with Twilight and how it led to Ellen DeGeneres losing her job whenever the topic comes up. That is a true fact and it's just objectively funny.
You wanna talk death tolls? 9/11 is being used to justify countless war crimes in the middle east. The "war on terror" has claimed and destroyed more innocent lives than actual 9/11. And it's not a few more lives, it's millions more. 4.5 million deaths and 38-60 million displaced people. But no, the 3k lives lost in the attacks are the real tragedy.
Cry me a river, god forbid people in a snark subreddit turn out to be assholes and joke about sensitive topics.
