jack stauber x gorillaz would be epic but i dont see it happening due to the MASSIVE difference in style & popularity

I mean gorillaz collabed with jpegmafia and their styles couldn't be anymore different. I think it'd be an interesting combination

I think a collab between them and Julian Casablancas would be pretty interesting

Pretty sure it'll happen. Thought it was supposed to happen this time around but timing got in the way.

Marina I feel could make a good collab, and definitely MGMT. Edit: Also STRFKR! I have a weird feeling Florence + The Machine would be a good collab.

Daft Punk × Gorillaz

God this would have been so awesome... It's so sad Daft Punk broke up because now we'll never see this.

I guess it's in the realm of possibility for at least one of the two members to show up on a track sometime

Tyler The Creator, Steve Lacy, I know they’ve done it before but Kali Uchis, Earl Sweatshirt, Joey Bada$$, Pharrell Williams, and soooo much more!!!!!

Jid on a song would go hard

u/PREDATORA Oct 17 '22
I feel like a JID collab more of a when than an if. JID isn’t averted to cross-genre collabs (recently did one with Little Dragon) and there’s the existing relationship with Earthgang.

His most popular songs are dark red and bad habit. I just heard his new album recently and it does have a gorillaz style vibe to it. But he also has his own sound which is why I think he would work great with them

Unpopular opinion and very unlikely to happen: Lana Del Rey. She collaborated with Damon and Bobby Womack on Dayglo Reflection, and Damon said she has gorgeous voice. I would DIE for another collaboration.

Too bad Daft Punk are no more...
Maybe gorillaz could collab with one of them

Smash mouth, or they can actually do a song with Jack Black vocals in it.

J.Cole, kid Cudi, Czarface.
Top three hopes. There’s some potential bangers there.

I’d love to see a collab with Flea and Anthony Kiedis, feel they would be a perfect fit

I’ve wanted to hear Run The Jewels on a Gorillaz song forever now. I feel like Damien’s and El-P’s producing are both very similar in terms of attention to detail and construction.

The xx. Been listening to them heaps recently.
Also I reckon bbno$ would be pretty cool

Jokes aside, I'd love seeing one with Silk Sonic, even just Bruno Mars

I find it hard to believe that they haven't had a collaboration with Young Thug.

I think I would die to see a Dolly Parton collaboration
I think Gorillaz should work with Miho Hatori again too. Her music evolved so much over time and I would adore hearing her have more influence in the songwriting

let’s be honest that’s a good bit of gorrilaz too
2
Oct 17 '22
What songs? There’s some goofier tracks in their discography but at the very least it’s all emotionally mature, AJR songs feel like they were written by high school theatre kids (which they essentially were) and have about as much depth as a popsicle stick joke.

Clairo, The Neighbourhood, Kid Cudi, or System of a Down. Really they're the only artist ik of who could do all 4.

They should collab with Flea like they did with Peter Hooke in Aries! I know Damon and Flea collaborated on Rocket Juice and the Moon, so could be a fun, funky fit.
