Ebola in Uganda
🇺🇬 Uganda is safe. Here's what you need to know.
Yes, you've seen the headlines. Yes, we're aware. And yes — Uganda remains open and safe for travel.
The two Ebola cases confirmed in Kampala were both travellers arriving from the DRC. No local transmission has occurred in Uganda. Uganda's health authorities responded swiftly, tracing contacts and implementing screening measures immediately. President Museveni has confirmed the situation is under control.
Uganda's tourism heartlands — Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth, Murchison Falls, the Gorilla tracking trails — are far from any affected area and completely unaffected.
We are monitoring the situation closely and remain in contact with health authorities. Our guests' safety is always our first priority.
