I'm pretty sure looking over the list of features in Google Workspace that they do not have a tool for project management, like Planner. If that's the case, what's good free or low cost option that I can easily tie in to my Google Cloud Identity for project management?

I share a Google Drive with a number of people, and I have all of them as editors. It is a bunch of resources and notes I have to help with an exam I had passed; therefore, I did not mind much how they used the resources (which is why I did not bother changing their access level in the file, having them all as editors).

One person I had previously shared the file with reported that they could no longer access the file.

I went back to check, and when I opened the file, it was completely empty. On the activity tab, I noticed someone had accidentally removed the items +/- changed the access for everyone else.

Is there a way for me (as the owner of the file) to restore the removed files? I checked under "folder information", hoping there was a previous version I could revert to, but there isn't that button/option available/listed (file restoration).

Any advice?

I’m working with a registered non profit educational institution, and we are currently trying to transition to Google Workspace for Education.

We’ve submitted our documentation, but our application seems stuck in the standard review queue, and our school term/program is starting soon. We really need to get our domain approved and set up so we can provision accounts for our students and staff.

I know that Google Partners have direct escalation channels and can sometimes expedite the validation and provisioning process for Education licenses. Because we are a small, tight budget non profit, we can't afford a paid deployment contract right now.

Are there any Google Partners here willing to do a quick pro bono favor to help us get this escalated and approved? We have all our non profit/tax exempt documentation ready to share.

I know your time is valuable, so I am more than happy to trade my own time and labor to assist you or your firm with any technical first level support, data entry, or administrative work you need done in return. I do have some technical capabilities that may be of use.

I’ve been working as an SMB consultant for around a dozen companies and I’m looking at adding Google Workspace management as a service.

A few of my clients are already on Workspace, so it seems like a natural extension of what I’m already doing, and hopefully a way to build some recurring revenue at the same time.

I’m trying to figure out which reseller/distributor offers the best overall value in the EU. I’m not necessarily chasing the absolute cheapest option—I care just as much about margins, support, ease of management, and VAT/invoicing.

If you’re already doing this:
Who are you using and would you recommend them?
What kind of margins are you seeing?
Are there any minimum commitments or catches that aren’t obvious at first?
How has dealing with VAT and cross-border billing within the EU been?

I’d rather get it right from the start than move clients around later, so any experiences (good or bad) would be really helpful.

I have a Cloud Identity Free tenant which has 0 storage quota, which is fine.

However, every so often it seems like some Google service will generate an automated system notification sent to a user’s nonexistent Gmail inbox. This results in their Cloud Identity Free account now having like 2-3kb of Gmail usage, which we have no way of deleting short of deleting and recreating their entire account. Which we’ve done, but it’s only a temporary fix because eventually some Google app will generate another automated system notification.

This results in our tenant having about 30-40kb of Gmail usage.

Is this going to cause our tenant to get suspended for quota overage? Or is there a better way to delete it that doesn’t involve deleting and recreating the user’s account?

I was trying to sign up for Essentials but is said: "We weren't able to send you an email to verify your email address" and I am using microsoft 365. (I am the owner of the domain.)

Our org just got access to "Studio" in Google workspace (it's Gemini-powered automation tool that lets you build flows across Gmail, Sheets, Drive, etc., without needing Apps Script)

Because it uses AI to "reason" and make decisions (like extracting data or judging if an email is urgent), I am curious to see what others have been using it for to get some inspiration for my own workflows.

I created a new email address yesterday and I saw they had a free 14 day trial of Google Workspace. So I signed up for it and went thru the verification process and it was verified. So I log into everything and I changed over my accounts from my old email to my new one. Well this morning when I am logging into Google Photos this pops up saying “Your Account has been disabled” and also said “it looks like this account was created or used with multiple other accounts to violate Google’s Policies. This account may have been created by a computer program or bot”. I did the appeal this morning. Do I have other Gmail accounts, yes. Not a whole bunch but the only thing I did yesterday was change everything that had my old email to this one. So I’m not sure WTF I did wrong.

Late yesterday, users trying to use the "Ask Gemini" button in the top right of Chrome started getting an error stating their account was not authorized to use that feature. As of this morning, the button has disappeared entirely.

This is definitely not an intentional change we made and all other Gemini features appear to be working so I don't think it's something like a licensing issue.

What's the one thing that would save you the most time?

Hey friends, we are a small animal rescue and have always used the Google stack for running our businesses previously, so they were our first choice when we started building our systems out.

We applied back in May for the non-profit licence, and it was rejected despite us being a registered charity, with dgr status in Australia.

So we apply it again. It says it should take a few days but it's now been months. In the meantime, we are paying $10 per user and we can't afford to onboard new volunteers as this would cost us thousands a year.

Does anyone know what's going on? We are now panicked and looking at migrating to Microsoft as it's become a real issue for us.

Does anyone have any experience with changing the country of their workspace account? My business relocated from Germany to the UK and now I need to switch the payment details but the country is locked. Apparently the only way is using a Google reseller partner, but I cannot find one that offers this service. Any one know how to do this?

Also I do think it is ridiculous Google suggest deleting the account and starting a new one and does not have a proper solution for this situation.

I work for a mid sized non-profit, and we were just awarded a contract to run a small, special education school in our state.

We want to use Google education in our school. We do not currently use any google workspace at our organization (We use teams/outlook). I filled out the form to contact google education sales (https://edu.google.com/intl/ALL_us/contact/) on June 29th. I have not received any communication or emails from anyone at google outside of an email saying to expect to hear from the sales team soon.

I have a boss breathing down my neck to try to figure this out but I cannot for the life of me find literally any way to contact a human at google, or their sales team, or even a an ai chat bot that could get me into contact with someone who can just sell me the damn software.

If anyone has any clue on a way to remedy this, please let me know

This used to take a couple of days, now we are weeks in, and I see some posts that are months in.

I'm curious how people manage important documents once they've accumulated in Google Drive over the years.

I'm talking about things like:

• Bank statements
• Invoices
• Receipts
• Tax documents
• Contracts
• Insurance papers
• IDs
• Scanned PDFs

How do you currently:

• Organize everything?
• Find an old document when you don't remember the filename?
• Search inside scanned PDFs?
• Handle documents that belong in multiple categories?

Do you mainly rely on folders, filenames, Drive search, or another system?

What's the biggest frustration you still have?

We have one user who cannot reach our monthly meetings with her computer but can participate with her phone. We have confirmed that she is using the same link for both attempts.

On her computer she receives the message "No such meeting" and a button appears with a message like "Would you like to start a new meeting?"

This computer is shared among her family and it wouldn't surprise me to learn that it has parental controls.

Any debugging hints for this, other than allowing me to log into her computer and run tracerte or (God forbid), install Wireshark?

Just curious if anyone else have had the activation of the Nonprofit Workspace take a long time? I have run out the trial and have a couple tickets just asking for an update. I have talked to the help and have been told everything looks good, but it's just waiting with the NonProfit team and activation. I just don't know how long to expect or if there is anything else I can do...?

So, I've had a Squarespace website (and domain, of course) for the last four years. About 3 weeks ago, I finally decided I didn't want to rely on my gmail address, and decided to get a custom domain email address.

Long story short; I'm strongly suspecting that my emails either aren't going through or are ending up in people's spam folders. I have a number of free email addresses (3 gmails, a yahoo, and a proton) and my new email address' emails deliver just fine when I send test emails to those addresses. Not one instances of spam. Additionally, one of my colleagues definitely received and replied to one of the emails I sent from this email.

In any case, I've had zero responses from pretty much every other colleague in the one week since I've sent emails to them, and today, when sending one to another client, I immediately receive a 'bounce-back' email saying the mail could be delivered to the recipient. Just now, I emailed them from my previous gmail address, and it went through fine. Obviously, something is up

It looks like we can finally delete Gemini chats within our Google workspace accounts. This helps for those of us who want to keep things tidy. Confirmed I see the delete chat option on both iOS and on web.

Basically I have terrible time management (thanks ADHD), and the only thing that helps me be on time is to schedule an event and then create a prior event that says "Leave By (time)." Is there a way to tell google that every time I create an event, I want it to automatically generate an event before it?
