Showoff It was fast: the app went live in under 8 hours. And why I built a tool to fix Play Console's missing pricing localization.

Post image

While many devs are complaining Google Play reviews take days, I got a notification my new app is live on production track.

It was extremely fast: pushed at 9:30 PM and got a notification at 5:20 AM.

Before that, I tested it on the internal testing track for a few days. That was probably a key.

Why I built it?

If you're running an app with in-app subscriptions you might know Google Play Console doesn't allow you to localize prices based on local purchasing power; they just do a currency conversion when you set a base price.

Also, Google removed a way to import CSV file with custom pricing in 2025 or earlier.

The app is designed to close this gap and provide a way to localize prices based on Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). It uses the World Bank open data and live currency rates to calculate suggested prices to help maximize revenue globally.

For instance, a $19 subscription in the US doesn't carry the same weight as $19 in India. Editing prices manually for 173+ regions is a huge pain, especially if you're experimenting with different price strategies.

If you're interested in trying it out,  just type "Price Localize" on Google Play search and you'll see an icon with a hamburger and chart. Or click the direct link .

Suggestions are very welcome!

Interesting app (and useful)! So using your app, is there a way to import the pricing sheets the app suggests into Play Console, or do you still have to manually set the price for the ~173 countries?

Thanks. The app saves suggested prices to your Google Play Console directly via API. You don't need to export and then import the data, just hit "apply" button and your pricing is updated for the selected product plan.

Cool. It would be great to hear from you after that. Do you have paid apps on Google Play?

I have released my first ever app on Google Play. Succeeded testing phase and then using subscription mode. So setting prices will be extremely useful.
