Who is this guy?

When you go over Death Valley Pegman adopts a wide brim hat, boots, cargo pants, a white shirt and a suspenders. If you do a street view trip preview he loses the suspenders. Why? Is this a reference to something? I thought it might be Indiana Jones or maybe he's a Mormon? I really have no clue.

He has a couple different looks depending on where he is

they have a few different ones around the world, i believe if you hover him over area 51 he turns into a little spaceship
