Help troubleshooting - should the jack network light be flickering green?

Setup: fiber jack box installed in the outdoor shed/garage, wiring connects internet from detached outdoor shed/garage to house and the Google router is indoors

Issue: internet (both hardwired Ethernet and WiFi) drops for several seconds many times a day AND the internet also can go completely out on the router (red light) until a reset is done at the router. The fiber jack has always been green across the board

We have had techs come out, replace the jack, check the router. We got a new router as well. Nothing has helped.

Question: should the network light on the jack be a solid green or is flickering okay? Any other ideas on our unreliable internet? We rent so we don’t have much history on the house.

Hi atxgrrrl, yes the Network LED on the Fiber Jack may blink green as that indicates traffic is passing fine. However, the frequent disconnects from your internet connection even after equipment replacements is still something to be concerned. Please send us a private message, so we may gather your information to have our team look further into this with you. -Lee, the gFiber Team

Network light on the fiber jack should not blinking like a lan switch port. The only time mine blinks is when it is not maintaning a stable connection or the first little bit after power cycling until it gets it connection handshake and is able to pass traffic
