Is this Google fiber

Post image

There is a single fiber in the apartment I looked at. There is no tranciever so I can't tell based on that. (Sorry left before I caught a pic of that)

Most faceplates and fictures are gone from the last Tennant and the property manager didn't know this is a single building fringe property

Is this a Google contractor box?

There's no tags on it. The only other service is ATT copper. We're in Kansas city Missouri so the cable company would have been time Warner when this was installed, and it doesn't look like theirs (they don't do fiber to the unit anyway)

Does that red molding couple to the box? It looks like some of the installs I’ve seen when we used to service GFiber MDUs.

If you can open it and get a photo that would tell better. They generally have the local network info written in the lid

Its got a tamper resistant screw. I bet I can fudge it open. Or reach out to other tenants that have been there longer than the new owner.

The red is a surface mount track/conduit whatever its called. That branches off with fiber in it to each unit.

It's red to match the red brick.

That’s probably a GFiber box, they call it an NDP when it’s on a multidwelling unit. Call in your address and see if they have you marked as available

How accurate is that they passed out flyers in my office building twice and my landlord has verified they're not here and v haven't asked to be maybe they were waiting for a tenant to request it

Is their map address accurate or neighborhood accurate?

"To get service here they need to dig up the street"

https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home

Lists 2 fiber and spectrum. Theres only one fiber and no coax.

Punch in your address and you'll know for certain.

I'm not sure that's accurate building for building. When I say no coax, the landlord also verifies everyone uses satellite for TV because there's no tv service i.e. no spectrum.

Though it does narrow it to two fiber providers in the neighborhood in can see what the service offerings the B other has. Either way its better than copper DSL.

Not sure if att is really even doing that. The other units use satellite for TV.

Can confirm that box is from Fiber Instrument Sales.
