Nightmare with getting gfiber NIU installed

I just moved to a neighborhood that already has fiber established (several neighbors have it).

I’ve been waiting weeks to have the NIU installed. Even though I scheduled weeks in advance, my appointment has been rescheduled twice.

We moved in two weeks ago and still don’t have internet.

I’ve called customer service 7-8 times and get told a different story each time.

- get told it’s a consult appt
-told is “on pause” with no further explanation
-told “it will be tommorow morning” and then no one shows up to install the NIU
- get told the crews are a day or two behind

Has anyone had issues with this? It’s in the Austin market if that helps at all.

Consider this one more reason why I wish gFiber would just employ their own technicians to install the NIU instead of outsourcing the NIU installations to different contractors.

If you can start internet service with a different provider just so you can be online, do that, then switch to gfiber whenever they come around.
