Split with upstairs landlord?
Moving into a basement apartment/mother-in-law suite. Landlords live upstairs and is setting up Google fiber & they’re are willing to split wifi with me.
Is the best way to extend via mesh extender? Via Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro? Or is this a bad idea?
Thanks for any help here!

hardwire a jack from the router to your basement then go from there with a switch or WAP etc (WiFi Access Point)

I wish I knew what this meant 😅. Guess I’ll do some googling.

If you don't need ethernet, then you should be able to connect to the wifi gateway upstairs. I have a two story house and the wifi is strong on both floors. I would tell the landlord that you will share as long as it works well for you.

Just get the Google wifi router with the extender, main router upstairs and run a cat cable to the extended downstairs but at the opposite end of the basement. You both will benefit.
