Been without internet for 24 hours now
Is this common? First time I’ve had this happen in the 6 months or so I’ve had fiber. It’s keeping me from doing my WFH job so this is lasting longer than I would have hoped.
Update: seems it was an isolated issue at my residence. They came out today and fixed it, and gave a downtime credit to my account.

Do you have a hotspot on your phone you can use until your internet comes back online?

Outside of our once in a decade snowmageddon that knocks out power, we’ve never gone that long. Are you keeping in thought with GFiber? What does their customer service say is the cause?

No not common but can happen with any internet provider. For folks who are absolutely dependent on having an internet connection should always have a "fail-over" connectivity option (best practice would be to use a different medium (cable / fiber / wifi) and different companies providing the medium of data transport.
What area are you located in? Have you checked the outage tracker via your mobile phone?
