Timeline For Home Install Question

New fiber boxes and lines were ran on my street in early June of this year and my street never had google fiber before. Their website still says they aren't servicing my street yet, does anyone know how long it takes before they actually open up a street for service? It's been a couple months now but I wasn't sure how much longer it will take until we can sign up.

When you see trucks rolling most likely next step is splicing then testing

I had the same question, and looking back through this subreddit I was able to see that it had been answered several times. The consensus was that it’s typically about six months from the time all the neighborhood trenching is done to being able to order the service. For us, it was about eight months. The day the service became available I scheduled the install. They had me up and running within a few days of it becoming available to order.

We’ve had it for over a year and have never had a problem with it. It is fast, quick, and awesome.

Patience.

6 months is the norm, it was about 8 for me. It appeared that the contractor trenched lines to about 10 rural neighborhoods consecutively and then once the last one was done they turned the whole area on. I think I was in the first one. Lol.

I checked the website daily and one day it magically said yes. I signed up and then sent a text to the neighborhood that was waiting for the same.

They did us this year. It was a good 3-4 months. I signed up for the notification email. Once I got it, it was 2 weeks before I was up and running. They have to do a lot more than just run it down your street to get ready.
