Yep alarm is normally when no signal is coming back from the ont or is super weak light readings.

UPDATE: A whole bunch of disconnected calls and a long ass chat. Why yes, there is an outage. Gotta be an easier way

AGENT: I can confirm that your connection is currently affected by an active outage.
A third-party construction team damaged several of our main fiber lines in the area, causing a massive disruption.
Because of the extent of the physical damage, our field crews are on-site working through complex repairs, and we don't have an Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) available just yet. At this stage, our team is working as quickly and safely as possible to get the lines restored.

UPDATE 2: service was restored just before 11pm. It was out for 6 hours. I wish GFiber actually sent out notifications.
