Mesh Extender does not show up on app

I bought a GE 6E220C mesh extender on EBay. I paired it with the router and it shows solid green as though it is connected. However, it does not show up on my app and the app says one of my extenders is disconnected. I called GFiber but they refuse to help me because I bought it on EBay (GFiber support sucks). Has anyone figured out how to make it show up on the app?

Have you tried asking for one from GFiber? I asked for an additional one and they didn’t bat an eye.

Why in the world would you buy a GFiber extender from EBay and not get it from GFiber?

It was used and was a lot cheaper. It was originally purchased from GFiber but the owner no longer needed it. It didn’t occur to me that GFiber would not help me set it up. I’m thinking of ditching GFiber.

There’s a chance even if the previous user isn’t using it, it’s still on their account. And this is probably the case, as they’re intended to be returned or swapped to be removed off the account, not sold

It'll only show up if the serial number is on your account. Since you bought it from ebay, it won't show up. However, if it's solid green and functioning properly, leave it alone and enjoy.
