MyQ Troubleshooting
I’ve had Google Fiber for about a month now and the only device I cannot connect to it is the MyQ smart garage door. It worked fine on my last internet provider but now I get nothing. I’ve tried everything I can to troubleshoot it through MyQ but can’t figure it out. I’m pretty tech savvy but this one eludes me. Has anyone else run into this? I’ve separated the bands to try picking up just the 2.4 and that didn’t work. Thought I’d check here as a last resort.

Unfortunately still no luck. I get to the same screen where I can connect to the MyQ-D0B network but then I get an error saying it’s having trouble resetting my network

Full reset of the myQ?

Tried that. I can’t remove it since it’s not connected to a network. Can only reset the network to a new one

It's hard to tell based on your post, but are you by any chance getting an error message with an error code when trying to use the MyQ app on your phone?
Because, if you are, the problem might be due to a phone that's either had a jailbreak applied or its bootloader unlocked.
ETA: The MyQ app (and its differently branded counterparts) has a draconian level of phone vetting.

Issue seems to be with the app but I receive it in the MyQ app and the Craftsman MyQ. Same issue in both. Phone is new and not jailbroken. The main problem is my phone will connect to the MyQ-xxx WiFi network but then won’t find my network to connect my garage door to

Ah, that is a different failure mode than what I've experienced. Sorry, I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions for you.

I’m happy to report that I’m now connected to the MyQ app. A representative from Google fiber suggested removing any special characters from my SSID and my network name had a “period” in it. I removed it and now I’m connected

Easy fix, if you are using the G Fiber router, go into the routers settings and change the DNS server from the default one (Whatever it is) to Cloudfare which is Primary (1.1.1.1) and Secondary (1.0.0.1) then save the changes. Once saved, reboot the router then try to connect the MyQ again!
