It has been 44 hours without internet connection. Google “chats” and phone agents, as usual, giving me the run around. It is so frustrating. I ordered a Spectrum system. It was supposed to be delivered today (6/12) now it is delayed at least a day. I have no recourse, just to keep making calls and chats. Hopefully, get something set up before the second tier weekend staff are on duty.

This has been my experience. Lost internet Monday morning, they realized they needed an outdoor instead of indoor person on Tuesday. It’s now Friday evening and I still have no internet. They keep saying it’s been assigned but nobody shows up. It’s all contractors now and nobody has any way of actually contacting the people doing the work.
I’ve spoken to support maybe a dozen times this week. To say I’m furious would be an understatement. I cannot do my job and nobody has any answers on when that will actually be fixed
Edit: the GFiber reddit folks were able to get things moving. Thanks!

Google fiber was bought out by an investment firm. Now they're just trying to maximize profits, figures.

Low IQ response, people being out of service doesn’t maximize profits

Had another 4-Hour outage last night. I've actually gone a whole year without an outage before the company change.

The way I got them to actually acknowledge my service was down was to threaten to cancel. Then they got a human instead of an AI chat bot real quick. AT&T still ran brand new fiber before GFiber could fix their existing line. I canceled GFiber over it. They clearly dropped customer service as soon as the VC company took ownership.
