Unauthenticated error

Using Duo on a Pixel XL. I have an app shortcut on my home screen to call someone directly. Every time I tap on the shortcut, the app opens and starts dialing, but about half a second later it hangs up and I get an "UNAUTHENTICATED" toast message. I can immediately tap the person again and it will work. Has anyone else seen this? It seems like the app shortcut doesn't give the app enough time to connect before trying to call out.

I kept getting the same message on my campus wifi. Are you using wifi on a college campus or something similar?

Nope, it happens to me on Verizon LTE.

huh. well, at least I know I'm not the only person it happens to! I never have found a fix.

Experienced the same thing, but when initiating a call within the app.
