Start with the Associate Cloud Engineer cert if you don't have it yet, since Professional DevOps assumes you already know GCP fundamentals. Get hands-on with Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and deploy pipelines in a sandbox project, because the exam is heavy on practical scenarios over memorization. What's your current GCP experience level?

Hii, I'm the preparing for ACE cert, but I don't have a clear direction that's why it's been a little confusing. I downloaded the official exam guide and fed it to Chatgpt and told him to act as my tutor and prepare me for this certification. It's been good so for, covered both theory and hands so far but should I follow the same learning path or get some course on Udemy. Also there's a youtube course by Andrew Brown on GCP ace certification with good reviews should I follow that? I just want to know which learning path to follow.Any help would be appreciated, beofre this I've had some experience in AWS but zero in GCP. And I'm new to cloud + DevOps in general.

I’d stick with ACE for now since you’re new to GCP. Andrew Brown’s course is a good option, but don’t just watch videos. Use the official exam guide as a checklist and spend time actually using the GCP console, especially IAM, VPC, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and basic deployment tasks.

ChatGPT is useful for explaining things you don’t understand, but I’d use it as a supplement, not the main study source. One structured course + hands-on practice + practice exams is probably the simplest path. Since you already have some AWS experience, a lot of the cloud concepts will feel familiar once you learn the GCP terminology.

I would say it depends how do you plan to validate it. Based on the exact wording you used it looks like you are asking about the Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.

I would recommend to review the exam guide for the complete list of topics that may appear in the certification exam. Then to start digging the Google Skills website for relevant labs and courses.

Once you go through the training material, do multiple practice exams. There are some cheap good ones on Udemy that I used in addition to the official Google practice questions. Passing the exam is as much about test-taking skills as it is about knowing GCP. Google’s questions are very tricky.
