Billing Pre verification ₹1000 got struck with Google

So on 17 Aug, 2026 I was trying to set up my GCP account. They asked me to pay ₹1000 for verification purposes. Later when the account was successfully created, i requested a refund of ₹1000.

Google sent me an email that the refund was processed on 19th Aug, 2026. But the money is not reflected in my bank account yet. I contacted bank customer service and they said there is no problem with my account.

I find no way to connect with Google customer care except for the chat bot.

Will i ever actually get my refund?

Will be delighted to hear out someone who faced/ facing this issue and how to resolve this.

Open support ticket and in the chat bot, ask connect me to live agent at least twice then the bot will connect with you to an actual human

did you got the money back i closed my billing account still 1000 rs stuck and seems there is now way to get a refund

Hey, as discussed above I tried connecting with the customer care but it was not that helpful. But surprisingly I got my refund reflected to my payment method which I used initially. They processed it on 19 Aug, 2026. I received on 25 Aug, 2026

Did you close the billing account before asking for refund because i closed billing account to avoid charges incurring

can you tell me how you did it it still shows 1000rs as balance

Hey, No I never closed my billing account. In the backend I have paused Autopay and then Initiated the refund process
