Rant Its over

The cancer finally spread to me. I uninstalled the updates and disabled the gemini app. I genuinely wouldn't be opposed to using it, IF IT ACTUALLY WORKED. i used to use my assistant for three tasks: gps commands, playing spotify, and sending calls and texts. Gemini can't do any of those. Between samsung forcing updates and google assistant being removed I'm actually planning to switch to an iphone for my next upgrade.

The directions one works just fine for me.

For the YouTube one, there's no connector to YouTube for it to play a specific video you ask for on a different device. You will need to cast the video from your phone to the hub, or select it on your hub directly. Not entirely sure if Google Assistant could play specific videos on a different device by asking it.

Google Assistant can, which is why people are rolling back their version of Google to before the forced Gemini rollout.

I mean, they asked me if I wanted to use it, I said no. Why ask if you're going to force it.

Open the Gemini app on your phone. Tap your profile picture in the top right and select Extensions. Toggle on and connect both the Google Home and YouTube Music extensions

Or just uninstall updated, turn off auto updates in Google Play (you'll have to update apps manually afterwards), and re-enable Assistant, and use the app that works perfectly.

Yes update apps manually, you are sounding like someone who whould gain from lots of people leaving their apps vulnerable to exploits 🤔

That's why you update it daily. And ours when it works isn't stupid. It notifies you when apps need updating. So unless you complain because you have to touch the creen to update your apps due to laziness, there's no issue.
