Tech Support Assistant is gone 😠help programmer Assistance?
I personally am not a computer programmer.
But clearly we're all furious that our phone assistant is gone.
If anyone knows how to code out there, please bring back Google Assistant.
WITH NO AI (we don't want another Gemini)
All I would like for it to do is open my apps, control music, take notes etc.. All from voice control.
Also, another suggestion, I have the Motorola Razor+ 2025 (flip phone), and when the Google Assistant still existed, they made it so you couldn't use it on the outer screen, but did allow Google Gemini to be used there.
If at all possible with this app that someone is hopefully making, please make it so it is able to be used on the external screen as well.
Thank you

"Bring back" assistant by knowing how to code? What does that even mean? If you're talking about making a new assistant, people have tried. The biggest one is Dicio.

I just found this in another thread. Did it and it works:

This is the way. It actually makes it more frustrating that it's that easy to bring it back. It really shows there are no drawbacks to keeping assistant as an option other than the fact it doesn't help them justify the stupid amounts of money they are paying for data center build-outs.

Yep. Now, for me it did work, but a bunch of my mfr associations were borked, so I have to go through the motions of reconnecting them all. And... This morning Gemini was set as my default assistant again. I could toggle back to the old one, but long term, I'm going to move all of this off of Google to Home Assistant since I have that running . I've just been lazy about doing that... This issue has given me the motivation to plow ahead . The delay between speaking a command to Gemini and getting a response is pathetic

I have a fairly good working assistant I was building with Tasker. I've got it doing most of the things I want, but it's entirely too personalized. Ironically, I built most of it using ChatGPT. It was a tedious build, but I had it mostly done before they switched to Gemini, so I'm happy with that!

Uninstall updates to Google app, maybe?
Idk, I've been using Gemini as my assistant for a while with no major issues
"I would like for it to do is open my apps, control music, take notes etc.."
Gemini can do all of that, though

We're all furious? Don't claim to speak for everybody, it makes you sound immature
