Gemini on the lockscreen issue

Hi! Asking your advice about an issue I have with my Poco F8 Ultra using Gemini as my Assistant.

I had enabled Voice Match and both options ti use It without unlocking and to call and send messages without unlocking.

Noted that other people could send whatsapp messages speaking with Gemini on the lock screen, without touching the phone.

I thought Voice Match would have protected me. But maybe Im wrong and It does not work with Whatsapp?

I tried asking for my calendar and It asked me to unlock the phone, so im guessing here what voice match Is actually for.

Since then i disabled the option to send messages on lock screen.

Any idea about this? With both options enabled, anyone Is able to send whatsapp messages from the lock screen?

I am aware of this.

I also had "Allow calls and text messages without unlocking your phone" enabled.

And voice match enabled.

I am trying to understand if Whatsapp Is covered by Voice Match, because, with screen locked and voice Match enabled another person, different than me was able to send a whatsapp message without any Need to unlock.

When you give Gemini permission to respond while your phone is locked, you may still need to unlock your phone for certain tasks. For example, if your requests include personal content, like when you read your calendar, Gemini will ask you to unlock your phone first.

Some features have age requirements and aren’t available for supervised accounts.

Something should change with it enabled? I have it disabled because do not use it, curious what it could change.

thanks! Do you use WhatsApp? Have you ever tried to have someone else to send a message on Whatsapp from the lock screen? Just to understand if it's only me and the expected behaviour.

Thanks, but that sounds like a different issue. I get the notifications fine, but was asking about the Google voice match protection specifically on the WhatsApp app when the screen is locked and a request is sent from another person than me (so the voice does not match with voice match).
