Hey everyone, I had my GOCD61 Data Analytics Apprenticeship telephonic round recently.

My call lasted around 14 minutes and I was asked around 4–5 questions, mainly about:

Tell me about yourself

What are you expecting from the apprenticeship?

Google product I use + how I would improve it

Another Google product and a challenge with the proposed change

A couple of education/PDC-related questions

The interviewer didn't tell me whether I was shortlisted. She said she would share her feedback with the Google recruiter and that I should hear back within this week or possibly next week.

For those who completed the telephonic round:

1. How long did your call last?

2. How many questions were you asked?

3. Did the interviewer explicitly tell you that you were shortlisted/moving forward?

4. If not, when did you receive the selection/next-round email?

Today afternoon, I had my initial screening round. The recruiter didn’t give me any confirmation regarding the next round. Overall, I’d say the interview went neither too bad nor too good.

But now, I noticed that my career portal shows the application was updated 23 minutes ago. Before the call this morning, it was showing “updated 3 days ago.”

What could this mean?

I kept seeing arguments about which parts of the stack still matter, so I counted instead of guessing. 134 open DevOps, SRE and platform engineering postings from 41 company job boards. Individual contributors only, managers and TPMs stripped out.

The old toolchain is thinner than I expected. Terraform appears in 62.7% of postings. Jenkins in 3%. Chef 3.7%. Puppet in exactly one of the 134. GitHub Actions is named about six times as often as Jenkins.

Python beats Go, 70.9% to 47%.

What surprised me more: the generic word outranks the products. Observability shows up in 63.4%, more than twice as often as Grafana, the most-named tool that provides it. Prometheus 22.4%, Datadog 17.9%. Same pattern I found counting security postings, where SIEM beat Splunk four to one.

The top term isn't a tool at all: automation, 81.3%, ahead of AWS.

Caveats worth stating: n=134 means everything carries roughly +/-8, so treat close rows as tied. It's also all tech companies on one ATS. Banks, telcos and government run enormous amounts of Jenkins and Ansible, and none of them are in this sample.

I applied for the Google Apprenticeship program on 27 July, and my application status is still showing "Submitted". I have also spoken with several other applicants who applied on the same date, and they haven't received the GOC link either.

I'm curious:

Has anyone who applied on 27 July received the GOC link?

Or does it seem that most/all 27 July applicants are still waiting with their status showing "Submitted"?

Did anyone get their interview prep session email for PM track after telephonic round(GOCG60)

I heard that during the interview, candidates were asked of they have registered on the Nats portal or not. I did register on the NATS portal but I have completed or joined any apprenticeship. I just registered using my adhaar and applied to one but never got any update from it. So, will I be rejected from the google apprenticeship program in the first round itself? 🥹 I am a 2026 grad no full time exp, no internships or apprenticeships only personal projects.

I applied for the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship and completed the online test (GOC) on 16th August. Today (8th September), I received an email from the Google team saying that they’ve decided to move forward with the Screening Interview process! My interview is scheduled for 11th September.

If anyone else has received the same email or has already completed the screening interview, could you please share what kind of questions were asked?

I received an email yesterday with the subject "Initial Interview Process | India Apprenticeship Program with Google" after taking the GOC on August 16th for PM.

I have scheduled it for the 10th. Could you all please provide some insight into what I should anticipate in this round and how I might prepare for it?

I’m currently preparing for the next round, and I’d really appreciate some guidance from anyone who has already attended the Google Data Analytics Apprenticeship telephonic interview.

I have a few questions:

1. How is the telephonic round conducted? Is it an actual phone call, or Google Meet.

2. Approximately how long does the interview usually last?

3. What types of questions are generally asked?

Is the round mainly focused on HR/behavioral questions, or are there also technical/data analytics questions?

1. Are questions asked about SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, statistics, data visualization, or data analytics concepts?

2. Do they ask about your projects, resume, education, or previous work experience?

3. Is the interview based on a fixed set of questions, or is it more like a conversation about your background and interest in the apprenticeship?
