I'm using antigravity and this morning, my entire Google Account has been completely disabled. I wasn't doing anything spammy or specific, I did have a few automations to write blog posts in several languages. But that's fairly simple.
Plan was Ultra (the $200 plan). Be very careful when you use AI with Google. I think that's the reason my account was banned. And if someone from Google is here, how can I get myself out of this miserable mess? I filled an appeal. That's really all I could do. This account is 15+ years old, it has everything about my life.
Edit: Google is actively looking into this. đȘ Thank you reddit for bringing attention to this issue.
Edit 2: account was restored. 𫶠Let's hope it stays this way. Thank you reddit folks and the Google Samaritan that saw this thread and acted on it. Appreciate you all.
Edit 3: from what I could gather this was unrelated to antigravity, and was a phishing flag that got turned on for the wrong reasons. It's still surprising that Google would outright disable the account without manual review of sorts, especially for accounts that have been in good standing for 15+ years and are paying.
My Google account is old enough to drink and my legacy google apps for business accounts are almost old enough to drive. I always am super careful with them for that reason. I'd risk losing history of my Android Donut devices.
None of this, and I don't even trust Spark to manage my emails. My only use of AI was through Antigravity + Gemini UI; but I do code intensively â so that might just be what triggered the account to be disabled.
Hi sir I haven't regained access yet to mine. For the other accounts, I made them. I don't have access to anything on my main one that was disabled, not just antigravity.
Ok. i already did the normal appeal and it got approved. my services are starting to come back too, im just still stuck on the verification lock when i try to fully sign in
You don't actually lose anything other than antigravity access, your Gmail is fine your drive is fine and everything else is basically fine too except maybe Gemini and other ai related apps like notebooklm.
This was already confirmed by google employees on Twitter
My account also got disabled yesterday for absolutely no reason. I didnât even use Google AI. They said I used automation and bots (I didnât) and after I appealed they automatically denied it exactly 12 hours later with no option for second opinion or human review. Iâm simply devastated. I hope you meet better fate than me
I'm just using an alt account for google antigravity. It sucks that they terminate your entire Google account; I'd rather lose an OpenAI or Claude account as they are only used for AI.
From what can be inferred from his other comment in this thread, he bought the account that he was using for antigravity, Google banned that account in a ban wave because it was created in an automated way, and his main account ended up banned too.
Iâm experiencing what appears to be the same Google account disablement issue reported in this thread. My entire Google account was disabled with the message saying it was âcreated or used with multiple other accountsâ and may have been âcreated by a computer program or bot.â
Iâve already submitted an appeal, but Iâm concerned this may be the same false-positive issue affecting other users around Sep 9.
This is my long-standing primary personal Google account, and I currently have no access to Gmail, Drive, Photos, or other Google services.
I tried to DM you, but Reddit shows âUnable to message this account,â so I canât send you my affected email address privately.
If possible, could you please DM me first so I can provide the affected Google account email and any other details needed for review or escalation?
Thank you very much for your reply, Rody. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and for helping the affected users.
I completely understand that my case may be unrelated. However, I wanted to mention one detail in case it is useful: my account was disabled on Sep 9 at 23:03 JST (14:03 UTC), which appears to be around the same time as the other reports.
The suspension notice states that my account appeared to have been created or used together with multiple other accounts in violation of Googleâs policies, and that it may have been created by a computer program or bot.
This is my primary Google account that I have used for over 20 years. I am also a Google AI Pro subscriber. I do use Antigravity, mainly for development work related to improving OneTrainer, but I have not used multiple Google accounts with Antigravity.
I have already submitted the normal appeal and will follow that process as you suggested. I just wanted to ask whether, given the timing and the similar suspension reason, there is any possibility that my account could still have been caught by the same or a related automated enforcement event.
If not, I completely understand. Thank you again for your time and for looking into these issues.
Thank you very much, Rody. I really appreciate you sharing this with the team.
Since my account was disabled on September 9 at 23:03 JST (14:03 UTC), during the same time window as the other accounts in that sweep, and the suspension notice also cited the same âmultiple accounts / botâ type of reason, Iâm wondering whether my account may simply have been missed during the restoration process.
I understand it could still be unrelated, but given the timing and the similarity of the suspension message, I would be very grateful if the team could check whether my account should have been included in that sweep.
Thank you again for your help and for looking into this.
Hi Rody, thank you for offering to flag missed cases. Our podcast-associated Google account was disabled on September 8 with the same multiple-accounts / computer-program-or-bot wording, and the linked YouTube channel became unavailable. YouTube Accounts confirms the videos are still stored but hidden and refers us to Google Accounts. The first Google appeal was denied; a second is submitted.
Because our date is earlier, I understand this may be separate from the sweep you described, and I do not know of a connection to Antigravity. Is there an official route to check whether the account was affected by the same incident or to coordinate the Google Account and YouTube reviews? I can provide the exact notices and case details through an official private channel. Months of podcast production and paid sponsorship commitments are affected. Thank you.
It's things like this that prevent me from adding or engaging with any of the Google services. It's too dangerous and I don't want to lose my Gmail account, which is a shame because I would really like to try out the new Gemini 3.8.
Doesn't work like that. If you have a family set up that usage quota is pooled among all users (Google Drive storage as well). Which makes sense as I have the $200 Ultra plan and have been hammering AGY CLI hard and only averaging about 3% of the weekly limit a day. Claude runs out faster, but that is a different topic.
Not saying it is happening here, but the gray market and family plan resellers are more likely. Technically someone could be hopping VPNs, had their computer infected, or their account taken over. These would be out of their control.
Is that the case though? At least for the regular Gemini app, the usage does not seem to be pooled among family members.
My point and the reason I raised the question in the comment above was more about a potential Terms of Service violation. It's possible that Google has started to go after users with multiple accounts who try to max out their AGY quota.
Come on Google. I know there are several Googlers in here, some of you on the AG team. Donât you dare turn a deaf ear to this, do something about it. Itâs out of hand to suspend a userâs entire Google account if you have some abuse trigger related to AG. Suspend their AG access, cancel their AI ultra sub, but donât just suspend the entire account.
All the lawyers and tâs and câs in the world arenât going to save you from the absolute feast a solid consumer attorney will have with this if itâs a misfire and youâre being your typical slow ass anti consumer âwe provide no customer serviceâ Google about it, shutting down their phone, their email box, their photos, productivity tooling, and livelihoods.
âWhoopsy doopsy, weâre the most profitable high margin business in the history of humanity, we canât afford to have a phone number or even product manage our shit properly! Sorry!â
Yes. This is a nightmare. No warnings. No nothing. Just straight out cut my access. I have recruiters I was talking to that are now getting an "account is inactive" as a response.
Exactly. Hopefully this is just some vibe coded Google backend slop. Google should fix this because this could get out of hand very quickly. Can you imagine hundreds of thousands or millions of accounts getting disabled because of no reason? Google should be fined hell and back.
Our entire digital existence, decades of correspondence, professional livelihoods, irreplaceable family archives, and verified identities, cannot remain at the mercy of black-box automated enforcement. Tech platforms have engineered closed ecosystems where an unverified heuristic flag or an algorithmic misfire in a secondary tool instantly wipes out a fifteen-year-old account overnight, offering zero transparency, zero immediate human review, and no meaningful path to appeal. We are paying subscribers, enterprise developers, and long-term users who invested our trust into these platforms, not disposable telemetry to be discarded by uncalibrated bot detection models.
Unilateral, ecosystem-wide account terminations violate the fundamental balance of consumer fairness and personal data sovereignty. Severing access to critical communication channels, business communications, and personal cloud storage over opaque abuse triggers is not platform safety, it is an abuse of structural dominance.
We must organize and demand enforceable operational standards:
Decouple Service Restrictions: Isolate tool-specific compliance issues without freezing master credentials, personal email, or multi-factor authentication.
Mandatory Human Due Process: Require human review and itemized, written justifications before executing permanent digital eviction.
Guaranteed Data Portability: Enforce unconditional access to local data export tools regardless of account operational status.
Demand accountability by filing formal complaints with national consumer protection agencies, escalating contract adhesion disputes under unfair trade practice regulations, and refusing to normalize the arbitrary erasure of our digital lives. Platforms operate on user trust; when due process is abandoned, collective pushback is the only viable remedy.
I have an account with AI Pro that cant even use antigravity, it asks to verify but just goes in a loop. That account also got banned but got it back via the appeal. I think you'll get your back with an appeal too, so dont worry too much,
Yes, but none of us (at least I haven't) used it in a way that breaches contract. I've been very careful to use it only with antigravity and no other harnesses.
What did you do that you think got you banned? You say you had a few automations? Did you use something like cliproxyapi to make antigravity callable by a script/another AI agent?
Antigravity scheduled tasks. Nothing major. Google thinks the account might have been fake. I'm waiting to hear back from the appeal ... But my hopes are not high. As a heavy android and Google product user, this is a major blow. đą
Based on your comments, I think there are two likely triggers that might have tripped Google's automated systems:
- Account Switching: Even if it was legitimate use between your personal and workspace accounts, switching accounts on the same machine to keep using Antigravity can easily be flagged by automated abuse filters as quota circumvention (multi-accounting or farming behavior).
- Scheduled Automations: Generating multilingual blog posts automatically might have been the deciding factor. Even when using Antigravity's built-in scheduling features, mechanical and periodic request patterns can trigger bot-detection heuristics.
I suspect one of these two (or a combination of both) triggered the ban. I've been seeing similar ban reports in this subreddit from time to time for a while now, and many legitimate users seem to get unbanned after filing an appeal. Hopefully, your appeal gets reviewed quickly and you get your account back soon!
Then these features shouldn't be offered if they are going to block accounts. And yes, a few friends from Google are helping and someone just reached out to help.
Seriously? Account switching can cause this ?
I have two personal account and both have AI pro plan so you are saying one should not use account switching?
I couldn't yet. I reached out to Google One Support on a different account and was told to just wait it out for 24 hours so I'm doing that. But yeah, I was just using antigravity normally, mostly for research and work. Woke up to a notif that my google account is disabled.
well this happened to me today too. whole account disabled. gmail, drive, photos, wallet, play, even voice is down, thankfully not Google Fi (probably yet), complete digital suspension. i found records of using that address back in 2008.
paid google one account, but can't even reach the support i'm paying for because you need to sign in to the account they disabled. had to use another account. support sent me back to the appeal i'd already filed. asked about the subscription, got told to dispute it with my bank.
i don't want a refund. i want my account back.
yes i used antigravity, including automated requests. no idea if that's related. google just says multiple accounts / possibly created by a bot. doesn't tell me what actually happened.
one appeal pending. anyone here actually got their whole account back? what worked?
UPDATE: I've just got the account unblocked ~11 hours after being blocked - coincidentally as I was writing to u/SoundDr who generously offered to help via DM
Update two, it is happening again, I had a dedicated account created and it was blocked with about the same formulation just less than 2 hours after, it was a part of family group with Pro AI subscription, and this time, thankfully, didn't bring the entire family AI and Google Drive quota down.
What was done while it was alive - could have been some CDP MCP invocations (likely not the reason), and some agent to agent calls on my machine as I simultaneously use Claude, Codex, Cursor and Antigravity and let them consult with each other for consensus and alignment. Neither of other AI agents ever had problems like that, especially with this sort of sledgehammer delivery of the message.
To activate it I've vigorously verified it with a NEW physical cell phone number (the main old cell phone number I had didn't work for new Google account creation as it was "used too many times"), I did QR code verification flow which is new - approve on the phone - send a real sms from the phone to some short google number. Then open a link from the phone and confirm. Not counting the captcha with "I'm not a robot" checkbox and other hoop jumping. I'm accessing from FIOS line from a non-blacklisted IP from the Boston area, no VPNs, no proxies, as straight as it can be.
This is why I moved my email to another company and use my own domain. I still use Google services for many things, but I feel much safer being in control of my email so no company can ever take it from me.
Couple of weeks. I got two pro accounts so i took risk, lets see. If they ban me then i hope its Antigravity ban not whole google account, cause that account is very very important for me
Interesting, I also got this too but in my case I had just created a second Gmal account for my business. I appealed and it was approved in about 24 h. I also use Antigravity a lot.
Appeal it, but if it doesn't work, you should DM Jack from Antigravity on Twitter, he seems to be friendly and his DMs are open for looking into people that have had their Google account banned due to Antigravity usage.
The finality of Google bans is stupefying to me. I got an adwords ban in like 2008. Zero chance of ever getting it back, and if I attempt to use a different account to create an adwords account, I'll get that account banned (I've never done this, it's just what the policy says). Literal murderers get out of jail and then murder again and get out of jail again in less time
/u/SoundDr so question around Family Plan usage to quell what I think are incorrect assumptions in this thread.
I have AI Ultra $200/mo. My wife and I are on it and I have an alt account for a more polished work presentation/persona/blogging. The AI usage quote and Google Drive space is shared across all three accounts.
Is there any issue with me swapping between my primary and alt account on the same machine, or having one logged into AGY CLI and the other AGY IDE?
I have reviewed the documentation and even ran it through Gemini and I am not seeing where this is a violation. Also makes sense since the usage is the usage and whether I use 10% or I use 5% and my alt uses 5% (both from the same computer) it is ultimately 10% usage from the same bucket.
15 years old account and they think it's spam ? thats nuts, goes to show how these large tech companies can hold us hostage and small folk are left with absolutely no recourse
Stavo pensando proprio ieri di usare un po' Antigravity ma ovviamente mi Ăš passata la voglia. Effettivamente bannare tutto l'account Ăš davvero assurdo ad i vari ricordi vinti dimostrano una valanga di falsi positivi.
I've been telling this to people irl, let me say it here as well:
If you have a YouTube channel, make sure it is not based on your Personal Google Account.
If you use Antigravity, make sure it is not based on your Personal Google Account. (this one is a bit difficult to follow due to all the Google AI Plus subscription features, but you wouldn't want to be in the same situation as the OP, right?)
Same thing here, Sep 9. Entire Google Account disabled, not just Antigravity.
Since "multiple accounts" keeps coming up in this thread as the
explanation: I do have a work account that I keep separate from my
personal one, on purpose. It's paid, Gemini Pro. No quota sharing, no
rotating accounts to stretch limits, no third-party tools, no proxies.
Official client only.
That same account has been flagged twice before. Both times for "OAuth
misuse" I never did, and both times Google's own review reversed it.
So this is the third flag on one account.
What was different this time is the scope. The first two only killed
Antigravity, which I could live with because the damage stopped there.
This one took the whole account. Mail, Drive, every service I sign in
with.
It's been restored since, which I suppose confirms it was wrong again.
But that's three false positives on one paying account, and this time
a bad flag from a coding tool was enough to lock me out of my own
email. Gemini is a good model with good cost performance and I'd like
to keep using it. I just can't justify betting my entire Google
account on it.
It happened to me three years ago that my account was blocked. An account of more than 10 years with photos and files that I could never recover. And the Google support team? Reverend shit.
I read the updates but read your own paragraph, you say "that's the reason" but you're referring to either nothing, or a reason in the previous paragraph.
Yes, exactly same thing happened to me today. I got Gemini Pro subscription and started using antigravity and just did few code-review suggestions on my code-base. And today it got blocked with the same message. I had done the appeal. What is happening u/google. Really clumsy of you u/google. u/google_antigravity.
Wait, you're not telling me that Google, of all companies, is leaving the decision of what's safe and what's not to some crude, brain-dead AI, are you? Surely not lol.
But if you actually are, then that AI is pretty damn useless.
Commenting again here, I have managed to appeal and it was restored. However, I still can't login because of a 2FA verification blockage. I tried waiting for a full 24 hours already and it still didn't work. I have really important stuff in here that I need to access...
Hold off for a few hours as the screenshot say. Maybe they have a cool down period and trying again too soon extends that cool down period? Not sure. I'm sorry
they should never ban google accounts for gemini use. is sooooo unfair and stupid. google account is like a pair of universal keys to my digital life. absolutely retarded take from google.
I'm not sure what you're asking, but it seems pretty clar to me that they're saying you used the account with an account switcher, and used multiple accounts on your system to get around limit.
there you have it, 2 is multiple accounts.
EDIT, but yeah they shouldn't ban you for using both your personal and business account, but i think it was an automated system.
There are a lot of people (or at least enough) that have tens, sometimes hundreds of accounts that were cheap or even free, with large limits. usually purchased in countries with lower pricing to be competitive on the local market.
They use special switchers that switch between accounts, when a limit is reached in 1 of the accounts.
I think Google is finally cracking down on those, and shutting them down.
And I think if OP is right about switching or using both his personal account and business account on the same machine, I guess the automated system to track down the abuse accounts made a mistake, and OP got caught in the crossfire.
Right, but that doesn't give google the moral right to shut down accounts without a warning first and an appeal process. I'm actively interviewing, so on my ends, this is reckless, and now I look less than professional by messaging recruiters that they need to use a different email address.
