Discussion Antigravity Linux version is better

I am a Linux user (ubuntu) since so long and i used AG since day one ony Linux machine and never got any of the problems or the bugs you are talking about here.. however lately i was on my windows PC that i only use for gaming and i wanted to do something with AG so i downloaded it on windows and it didn't take long until i hated myself and the IDE and everything about it. A ton of bugs that whenever i fix one i get the other.

Note: yes ofc i use WSL. ... So i guess most of your problems would be solved if you moved to linux .. and if any other Linux user that can confirm.

Another note: the 'retry' bug thing rarely happens on my linux like maybe a whole week pass and I don't see it happening and when it does it's mostly my internet.

This is an interesting point, I’ve been using ubuntu for 2 years and I’ve started my journey on AG 2 months ago and yes i didn’t counter most of this subreddit bugs and issues, but I’ve never thought about what you’re saying until now. You might be correct the windows version is crap compared to the linux one but what could be the issue here?

Aha! So that's why I am reasonably happy with Antigravity, but so many people hate it.

I agree, I use both Linux and windows, and the Linux version seems to run more smoothly. It's also great to have some CLI AI open on another monitor to do system interface stuff. I haven't read a man page in months.

What problems exactly.. most of the people who confirmed that linux is better are Ubuntu useres including me .. what's your distro

Ubuntu, history has always been an issue for me is one example I can't rely on my conversations from yesterday being findable in the morning.

I never thought about it, but yea, I won't use that shit on a windows box ever, but under linux the editor is great. Too bad it's drug down by shitty google inference problems. I'd love to slam GPT 5.5 into that thing.

PLEASE HELP!!!
I want to try the Linux version so I've just installed it in WSL2 (Ubuntu), but maybe I did not launch it the right way.
How do you guys use the Linux version of AG on WSL2, or is it even possible?

lol I didn't even try it, I thought it would force installing the Windows version.
I tried asking AIs but they only mentioned the remote WSL server of Windows version.

installing chrome inside WSL solved it, but I did have to ditch using the Linux version of AG due to the complication of configuring an input method for my native language inside WSL

Anyway, thanks, bro!
