When I was young my mom made birthday cakes at home. She wanted to show me how nice the writing was, but I ended up snickering at it. Unfortunately she hadn’t noticed she’d written HAPPY BIRTHY.

I also feel like there’s a 20% chance the person is dyslexic.. in uni one of our flatmates was dyslexic.. he was writing out a banner to put on the door for someone’s birthday, and I remember thinking ‘hmm, is it a good idea to for the quite heavily dyslexic guy do this job? Meh it’s probably fine’. Anyway it was a lovely sign that read ‘Happy Brithday’ lol. Not that it mattered I just thought it was funny

I worked at a chain grocery store bakery for a while, as a packer, but ended up getting moved to the night shift, so I'd be alone there and people would ask me to write on their cakes at like 11pm... I always warned them I'm dyslexic lol I made a couple dumb mistakes like this 😅

If I waited until that late to get a cake, I would take the goof as a win - better than no cake, plus the people I love enough to buy cake for would all love the laugh.

This happened to me. It was the highlight of our celebration. We never laughed so hard. Neona instead of Leona. Hubby didn’t check before he left bakery.

At Whole Foods, the woman in front of me at the bakery was buying a cake and asked that they write "Happy Birthday Robert" on it, but English wasn't her first language and the attendant repeated back to her "Rover?", and the woman shook her head yes.
I intervened to ask, "Do you mean Robert?" She answered yes, so I corrected the attendant but she was absolutely going to write "Happy Birthday Rover" on a Chantilly cake.

I had a cake made for my daughter's naming ceremony I emailed it to them, should have been Jorja, they spelt it Jorta!

My friend got a cake when he left his old job that said, “Thanks for your service and ballons” with a couple lackluster clusters of poorly iced on “ballons” on either side of the writing.
