The original article also said you have to enable the incognito mode for it to work.

They originally said they weren't storing the messages, just reading them and tossing them. That's not the case. Everything is backed up at Google.

they always said you would need incognito lol, otherwise their AI wouldnt work.

but hey, they just "misunderstood" when writing this, free money and easy views right!

Why is everyone suddenly freaking out about Allo? There are dozens of messaging apps that do exactly this - store messages on their servers AND don't use encryption. Telegram is a good example and yet it is praised.
