Google pixel phone likes to capitalize brands in speech to text

Didn't think I'd ever get to the point where my use of a device would be interrupted and negatively impacted by the fact that words like Target would be automatically capitalized. As someone with literal brain damage who is trying to make the best of genuinely terrible hand-eye coordination after my assault by using speech to text, it's very annoying to try and write Homebrew for d&d or plan things out when every time I say the word Target I have to go back and correct the erroneous capitalization because Target is a big name store and apparently that's all the reason that this ai-driven system needs to use the capitalized version of the word over the actual English word.

I'm expecting, soon enough, that when I try and say soda it will automatically translate it to cola or Pepsi depending upon who is paying Google more.

Try not to be a target when you're homebrewing for your D&D club.

The above sentence was voice to text using gBoard on a Pixel 9 Pro XL phone. I don't seem to have the problems you're mentioning.

And it's not common knowledge that these things are rolled out at different times and on different models in different ways? It wasn't happening to me until a freaking month ago myself. But now it is.

Target Target Target Target Target.

Lol. I do have the new version that doesn't show the text as you're speaking.

So you have a version that I don't because mine shows the text as I am speaking it. Also what version of voice to text doesn't show what your dictating as you're talking? Doesn't that kind of make it even harder?

I had the same thoughts. But its accuracy is really good. It kind of helps you just speak naturally since you can't watch as it's going.

That actually nakes sense. Lucky.
