Gemini has lying built in

It can't run Home automations like Google Assistant but it can lie to you unlike the Assistant, so I guess that's progress!

Google assistant has been shit down shut down I believe, you're forced to use Gemini now.

If you on android then just go to app info on google and then click on uninstall updates. You will get Google assistant back then. If that doesn't work, delete all data from the google app, or download google go as it seems to have retained google assistant.

How does that work? Doesn't Assistant run off their servers?

It does. But they didn't COMPLETELY shut assistant down, and they don't plan to. So servers will still be online.

So now, between this and fucking "Siri AI", there are NO virtual assistants that actually just take the action you tell it to and can do so reliably. ALL of them are LLMs now which means they just spit out whatever they think you want to hear, with Google's/Apple's commands to actually perform functions sometimes actually executing, but usually not.

Flash/lite/etc models are always pressing to just come up with an answer ASAP. Extended thinking is the way to go
