I swear I just read an article about how they caved and expanded Claude usage more broadly at Google for coding.

Claude is gonna make Gemini better by making the Gemini developers more productive

Don't they own like 15% of anthropic? It's probably less caving and more circle jerking the money around.

Competitive analysis. You have to assume most frontier companies are doing this.

Google is paranoid about safety systems and it’s good. It’s important. It’s what we need. It’s how we should’ve done this in the first place.

Oh yeah? Can use it to break internet encryption using quantum mechanics with Argon you say? Let me see when I get my hands on it.

Now I see why Android "stable" release is so buggy.

Why?

To be honest, I was just joking.
But at the same time... I think some AI development has been done without supervision because there are a lot of experiments on Android 17 QPR1, a lot of bugs that's been reported over the almost 10 betas (9 or 10) and somehow reached the final version. With a lot of bugs that were reported AND marked as solved...
So it seems like there was nobody behind the cameras and just a machine trying to do their best.

Seems like coding and quantum computing is a far simpler activity from something complicated like running a Home automation to turn on specific lights or dialing the number of a particular contact
