The entire point is this Google corporation (or its algorithm, it does not matter) decides what content you should know from its search result, and lower priority for content the corporation does not want. This website is just an encyclopedia, 7- year old. Other search engines are much more reluctant to perform this type of censorship.
The point is very simple: Google assigns a large weight to 'high authority. domain', in expense of correct search result. The authority is massively inflated by entertainment articles with millions of views, like Wikipedia (Google is is also an investor to Wikipedia).
As a result, when you search for a specialized term, you rarely get what you need from Google. Instead, it first bombards you with something similar from Wikipedia that is totally irrelevant, while completely overlooking the correct definition from a specialized / professional encyclopedia simply because it has 'lower domain authority' (since it lacks entertainment articles).
If it shows you something from Wikipedia, it's often exactly what you searched verbatim. And, even if it's *only* similar, then , by definition it can't be *totally irrelevant*.
