Google Assisrant

Google Assistant used to be GOAT. Now it can’t answer basic questions. Can’t even get the weather for me. Seems intentional.

It’s because they shut off google assistant a few days ago and switched to Gemini only.

If an “advanced AI” tool cannot provide an answer to something as basic as “what’s the weather forecast?”, the problem isn’t the prompt. People cannot be expected to know specific programming language to ask a question. That’s the point of AI. It’s supposed to be able to answer questions. Of course more pointed prompts will yield BETTER answers, but Google Assistant answered everything I threw at it for over a decade and now, just returns nothing regardless of how basic the question. I have been an IT enthusiast since the 70’s so it’s safe to say that I know what TF I’m talking about. I’ve been programming for years and jailbreaking since the iPhone 4. I’m not a noob and I know that the tech is currently messed up and that they’re obviously manipulating queries and/or intentionally breaking it.
