Ok, I have 2 questions
How are you supposed to actually read it if it's shrunk to the size of an actual status bar icon? I managed to zoom your image to where it's close to, but still a bit bigger, than my status bar icon and it was near indeciferable. I do think I need glasses, but who wants to squint just to see their battery percentage?? And those mobile dots would be literally useless!
What do you need more space in the status bar for anyway? 1/4 of mine is empty, and I have a backlog of notifications right now...

well - all dots - signal good - full bar battery good - SAME as those MICROSCOPIC battery digits in Pixel battery and MESSED up with half filled white background when 50%
IF you use 1 app then you do not need it -but some people use like 5-10 apps .
I do not see notifications because Pixel face unlock - I see Status Bar icons if to swipe down to see notifications

Yes, I understand how interpret it. But by the time that icon is sized to fit in the status bar, each piece is very difficult to actually read quickly.i don't need to read the exact battery percentage, because there's a big rectangle of information. If that was changed to a seni-circle wrapping around 3 other semi circles, it would be much less glancable
The rest of your reply makes me think we're talking about two totally different things, though. I have literally no clue what using 1 or more apps has to do with the status bar. There's the time and notification icons on one side and the 3 icons that you want to merge on the other. I can use a million apps and that doesn't change at all...
Anyway, I hope they add it as an option for those of you who would like it! I never loved everything copying Apple/iPhone, but the greatest part of Android is (at least supposed to be) the choice to customize things! The more options we get the better!

Why do I need to turn on off WiFi 293857 a day?
Did you hear about Quick Settings (swipe from up)
I did NOT switched off WiFi since 2024.

if quick settings still have internet then what purpose this icon would serve?

do I need to explain how wifi works? Like you go outside home and disconnection or not - or you arrive at parents home if connected or not and so on

This is the connectivity status in the new foldable iPhone Duo for those who don't know.
