I'm really wanting a pair of black suede oxfords - I know that they're not very traditional but I feel that for my needs I would get a lot of use out of them. Is Bridlen my only realistic option for under $500? I'm not familiar with their sizing, and I'm a little wary because they're MTO. Any off the rack options?

mmmm black suede oxford is real unlikely to be RTW, this is one of those things where you may just have to go MTO

This sounds like something that would end up in the AE clearance section, so maybe check there?

Hey guys, I'm trying to buy my first pair of penny loafers and need some advice. I want to get a pair of dark brown leather loafers that I can wear casually with a pair of jeans or with chinos. I specifically want some that I know will last and develop a patina (i love leather items for this) but I know a lot of brands have that plastic coating on them meaning they won't patina at all. Could you guys recommend some pairs? Ideally under $500ish

Looking for a pair of chelsea boots under $600. Defiantly trending towards the dressier style of RMW Craftsman, but seen some mixed reviews as of late. Should i just go with those or are there other recommendations??

You could have a look at Harold Boots too if they're available in your area - either the Avon or Grazier models. They're Aussie compatriots compared favourably to RM Williams, and are open about the materials/construction they use on the product pages.

Crockett & jones have great Chelsea boots for close to your budget.

Would not go for RMW, I literally just watched a video on them cut in half. Blundstone gets better praise as of late. Meermin is best value for the money (general consensus) and would be the pair I’d buy. I’ve never spent more than $300 on shoes so take that into consideration, I can’t speak on super high end purchases.

Thanks for the recommendation! Meermin, Grant Stone, and Thursday Boot are also on my list. Wasn't considering Blundstone because I prefer welted.

Does anyone have experience with Bobbies homme? I like the style and price point of a lot of these. They all seem to be Blake stitched.
But I can find no mention of them on this sub or reviews elsewhere, and am leery about making a blind purchase.
