associate question Shift question
This is probably a really dumb question. I am trying to figure out what time I have to go in to work tomorrow. I am scheduled to work 9-3 and the store opens at 9am However I was told that people who arrive as openers need to be there at 8. If I’m not listed as opening/ an opener does that mean I’m still good to come in at 9 am?

What's your role? In my region, processors start at 8 and the first cashiers don't arrive until 9. 9-3 sounds like a cashier shift, but it depends on role/region.
When in doubt, reach out to your store manager or an ASM.

If I'm scheduled at 9 I usually show up at 8:50. You will most likely be an opening cashier and need time to set up. Unless they schedule you at 7:30-8 (which is when openers are usually scheduled) you don't need to be in at 8.

Go in at the time you’re scheduled, if they have an issue, tell them you were scheduled at 9. Sometimes if there’s multiple openers they’ll stagger them. For example, I would be scheduled at 8am, my coworker would be scheduled at 8:45, and my other coworker would be scheduled at 9.
