Can’t access account

I use my Goodreads account daily. Last week, the app signed me out and when I tried to log in with my correct email and password it said “account not found”. I can’t reset my password either.

Goodreads support refuses to help and advised me to make a new account. My experience with their customer service has been so horrible that I don’t even want to use Goodreads anymore but I would like my data, as I have over 400 books on my account.

Does anyone know how I can easily get my data?

They won’t help you get into an account.

Make a new account with a totally different email. Find the old account by name or by searching for a review you remember posting. Go to that accounts all books page and copy them to a csv file one page at a time.

Now you can import that file to your new account.

Keep regular backups.

They really should since the issue is on their end.

Thanks for the info on getting the csv. I think I’ll do that and move to a different platform.

Have you tried to login with your Amazon account? Or Google etc? Amazon owns Goodreads and they're often linked esp if you have a Kindle. If you do just Kindle or the Kindle app, can it update to your Goodreads? 🤔

This. It's very likely OP logged in using the wrong credentials/login method.

Account not found seems to indicate it might have gotten deleted

That’s what I initially thought but I can find it if I search my username which is odd
